The Anne C. Fisher Gallery is one of many appealing Georgetown galleries in which to browse on a lunch hour or on a weekend afternoon, attend an opening reception, hear an artist talk, or purchase art for the home, office or as a gift.
The Anne C. Fisher Gallery grew from Dr. Fisher’s work as a psychotherapist and artist. Several years ago, while developing her Center for Being & Becoming, which emphasizes arts-based workshops for personal growth, Fisher decided to create her workshop space in the form of an art gallery. Her goal was to provide to workshop participants a healing environment that expressed and supported creative self-exploration. To the delight of everyone involved with the Center, Fisher decided to offer the exhibited works for purchase.
From its unique origins, the Anne C. Fisher Gallery has grown to become a popular Washington DC gallery, exhibiting and offering for purchase the highest quality contemporary fine art. The art selected for exhibition in the gallery continues to reflect the personal journey, explore psychological and spiritual themes, emphasize current social issues and bring attention to marginalized groups.

The Anne C. Fisher Gallery also continues to be guided by several aspirations:
- To highlight the essential importance of the arts to the positive development of individuals and culture
- To provide a venue for accomplished professional fine artists to participate fully and equitably in the exhibition and sale of their work
- To support understanding of artistic process by viewing artists at work and by interacting with them at the gallery
- To offer educational experiences about art through gallery classes, talks and special events
- To experience the healing power of the arts through viewing art and through personal explorations of artmaking in gallery workshops.
- To explore current social issues and to give voice to all people through artistic expression
- To enhance community through gatherings at the gallery
- To support community artistic development by sharing a portion of gallery proceeds with area arts-based organizations
