Revealing Truths: The Art of Muslim Women

A stunning exhibition of the work of Heba Amin, Salma Aratsu, Muhammadi Zuhal Karamanli, Salima Raoui and Huda Totonji. Launched in 2003 in New York by Ayse Turgut in collaboration with Denise Melroy of Aramona Studio, this exhibition included painting, mixed media and calligraphy. The goal of this powerful exhibition was to increase awareness of the work of contemporary women artists while challenging stereotypes of Muslim women as represented in the media.
