South American Holiday—Three internationally acclaimed South American artists living in Washington, DC, join their talents in South American Holiday. This dynamic and varied exhibition features the collages of Joan Belmar (Chile), acrylics on paper and canvas by Patricia Secco (Brazil) and prints, hanging paper sculptures and video by Helga Thomson (Argentina).

In Tandem—An exhibition representing works on paper and slated panels by artists C.C. Vess and R.E. Levine, one primarily interested in color and the other focusing on marking off light and dark areas. Vess and Levine have worked together for years. This is one of the rare times they let their work play off each other in a two person exhibition.

Natural Selection—Michael Gessner’s sculptures in wood and other organic materials powerfully and sensitively channel the natural energies of his materials. His work evokes the sacred and the tribal, expressing time, mood and story. Kennelly’s thickly layered paintings are fresh, immediate and spontaneous and also celebrate the use of natural materials, such as oil, beeswax and graphite, as well as her joy in creating them.
