Washington, DC — 1 September. “Curvaceous is a celebration of the circle and curve represented in a wonderfully varied range of media,” states Anne C. Fisher. Curvaceous opens at the Anne C. Fisher Gallery with an opening reception on Friday, 16 September, 6–8pm, to which the public is welcome. A group performance art piece by Rogelio Maxwell highlighting the feminine form entitled Curvaceous will take place at the opening reception.
Curvaceous includes abstract works by six area artists. Featured are Tory Cowles and Dominique Samyn-Werbrouck, painting; Susan Finsen, mixed media on paper; Gail Gorlitzz, beaded sculpture; Rogelio Maxwell, metal sculpture and photography, Sandra Wasko Flood, installations.
A second reception will take place on Friday, 30 September, 6–8pm. The exhibition will continue through 15 October 2005 at the Anne C. Fisher Gallery at Canal Square in Georgetown, 1054 31st St NW, Mezzanine. Gallery Hours are Tuesday, 12–3pm and Friday & Saturday, 12–6pm.
